HRI Project

Please find the attached paper “HRI for Legal Validation: On Embodiment and Data Protection”, which has been presented at the IEEE International Conference on Robot and Human Interactive Communication (RO-MAN) in the first week of September.

The study was started from an initial question “Can current existing laws be effective regulatory tools to emerging robotic technologies?”. To answer this question, three HRI experiments are designed related to robotic embodiment in order to validate the soundness of General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).

Any comments are warmly welcome, but please note that it is just a middle paper of the collaborative project with the Stanford Transatlantic Technology Law Forum. For more details, please visit https://law.stanford.edu/projects/healthcare-robots-a-comparative-eu-us-data-protection-analysis/
